FRANKIE
"The Shark" TOLEDO
Former IBF
Featherweight Champion of the World

Frankie lost his IBF
Title in a controversial decision with Manuel Mendina. After a head-butt from
Mendina in the 3rd round, the referee let the fight continue. It was obvious
that more damage had been done than just a cut on his forehead. Frankie was no
longer the intelligent, quick, stick and move fighter that he was in the first 2
rounds. The fight ended before the 6th round could get started when the referee
stopped the fight on advice from the doctor because Frankie could not see out of
his right eye. Capital Promotions is working with the IBF to determine if a
mandatory rematch should be required of Mendina.
